KICKSTART THEMES

All of our Kickstart programmes, whether they are working with children, young people, school staff or parents / carers, incorporate several themes:

- Respect - Respect is reciprocated by all parties in the fact all participants learn the meaning of respecting themselves, the instructor and also their peers. While the instructor respects each participant as an individual. In this sport all actions have consequences hence the importance of respecting the knowledge and the experience of the tutor, which is ultimately transposed into everyday life.

- Understanding / managing emotions - All participants learn to understand their emotions, using Thai boxing as a valuable tool for engagement. The sessions offer an outlet for frustration, providing a steady environment and a strict schedule, participants can learn the benefits of hard work and believing in themselves through participating in the activity.

- Confidence - Participants learn a new set of skills working as an individual and as part of the group, in a fun and non-threatening environment, which allows them to grow as an individual.

- Health and Fitness - All sessions incorporate fun, healthy, energetic activities to raise participants' heart rate, improve fitness and strength.
